Artist Statement
My work is inspired by the natural world — butterflies, bees, flowers, and the intricate ecosystems that connect them. I’m drawn to repetition and pattern, creating compositions that echo mandalas and the rhythmic balance found in nature. Through multiples and layered arrangements, I build wall pieces that fill space with energy and quiet precision.
My process begins with observation and research. I collect and preserve moments from my surroundings — flashes of color, texture, or form — translating them into glass through patient experimentation. Each cut of glass becomes a meditation on evolution, history, and process. I strive to enhance the material’s inherent delicacy and transparency, exploring how color and light interact across layers.
The resulting works often resemble specimens — some rooted in science, others imagined or mythical — each one suspended in its own space and time. They invite the viewer to look closely, to study and wonder, as if peering into a preserved fragment of the natural world.
