About Sasha
Sasha is an artist, art educator, youth advocate, and community builder.
Her glass sculpture draws inspiration from nature’s pollinators — butterflies, bees, and other vital species — using color, form, and texture to honor their timeless beauty and ecological importance. Her work combines a range of glassmaking techniques, including blown, hot-sculpted, kiln-formed, flame worked, and cold-carved processes. Each piece evolves through multiple stages: beginning in the hot shop or kiln, refined through cold working and engraving, and often returned to the fire to integrate new elements.
Originally from Western Massachusetts, Sasha earned her BFA and Art Education degree from Alfred University in 2008. She now lives in Seattle, Washington, where she shares a studio with her partner, glass artist Mikey Cozza, raises her two fierce and beautiful daughters, and works in Tacoma as the Outreach Director at Hilltop Artists in Residence.
